When you head off to meet vendors like Caterers, DJ’s, or Wedding Planners you might be unsure of what you should ask them during your interview, especially if this is your first time ever hiring that service.
We are here to help. Too many times we have seen vendors, who are at your wedding to work, slack off, be at the bar, or worse, end before their contracted time is over. The questions that we’ve compiled here will help you dive deeper and find the right people for your big day.
This question will allow that vendor to tell you, from their perspective, what their major duties and responsibilities are during your wedding. If they aren’t saying some of the basic things that you thought were a part of their responsibilities then talk to them about it.
Example: If a caterer isn’t telling you that they assist in setting up tables, chairs, and place settings, which is a responsibility that...
Wedding planning the right way is all about smart decision making. Knowing what your budget is and how it's allocated (separated into categories) is a big part of planning smart from the start. But how can you make smart decisions about your wedding spending if you have no idea what your wedding budget should be?
So.... how do you create a wedding budget when you haven't made any wedding decisions yet? Or maybe you feel like your budget is too tiny and have no idea how your going to host your family and friends, plus make it the beautiful, Pinterest worthy wedding you're dreaming about.
I show you exactly how to create an estimated cost for your wedding day based on the size of your guest list, your geographic location in the US (or abroad) and your level of taste.
From there your budget will be broken down into categories, each giving you a clear price point for where and how much you should be spending to keep the overall...
Can a Wedding Planner really save you money? Well as a wedding planner, I really hope so, but it isn’t so easy to quantify in dollars and cents.
I think that when people ask this question they are hoping that the wedding planner will have a network of secret connections all over town and because they work with this one planner they will get 10% off here or 20% off there. Like an assumed discount everywhere they go because they are working with that specific planner.
I have never worked like this and honestly, don’t know anyone who has. There is nothing legit in my book about getting kickbacks for referring services to vendors. Because that’s what the discount would be. The client would get the discount and the vendor would give that discounted amount to the wedding planner for referring them the business. Would you want to work with someone who was padding their wallet double by working with you? No, I wouldn’t. It just doesn’t...
Garden, loose, textured, organic, all of these words describe our favorite style of bouquet. Here we've rounded up the best of these floral garden inspired beauties and want to share them with you.
P.S. - We intentionally tried to find bouquets that had in-season spring flowers. This makes it easy to share with your florist and have them say, "we can do that!" I will warn you that there are two pink beauties that have Dahlia's (a late summer/fall blooming flower) that we couldn't help but include.
